RVT

Hi, my name is Meghan, and I am a Certified Veterinary Technician at North Powers Animal Hospital. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy going out on adventures with my husband and our son, exploring new places we find on drives around Colorado. My love for animals extends well beyond the hospital — our home is shared with eight pets, including a Dalmatian, three Brittany spaniels, a German shorthair pointer, two Ragdolls, and a guinea pig.

Favorite Part of My Job

More than anything, I value being able to help the ones that can't help themselves. Animals don't have a voice to tell us what's wrong, so being the middle man between the owner and the animal is a special privilege.

Why I Chose This Profession

I knew from a young age that I was meant to work with animals. I grew up in a house that was constantly full of them, varying greatly from furry to scaled and large to small — dogs, cats, birds, chinchillas, rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, fish, tree frogs, and even a snake. That upbringing opened the door to my love for animals and became the career I wanted to pursue.

Education

I attended the Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology from 2019 to 2021, graduating with an Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology. I became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2021 and a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2022.

Professional Background

My work is mostly in general practice. I have a particular soft spot for cats, especially the spicy ones.

Work History

My career in the field began with an externship at Aspen View Veterinary Hospital, followed by a position at Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital. I joined the team at North Powers Animal Hospital in September 2024.
