Hi, my name is Miranda, and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician at North Powers Animal Hospital. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
In my personal time, I enjoy practicing foreign languages, yoga, and video games.
Why I Chose This Profession
Since childhood, you could usually find me where the animals are — whether that was playing in the yard with the family dog or exploring the shores of southern Florida in search of horseshoe crabs and anoles. From elementary through high school, I volunteered with different local animal shelters and participated in equestrian care and training.
Education
I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Mississippi State University in 2015, and afterward I earned my credentials as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado. I am currently pursuing another degree that will bring me closer to my goal of becoming a CVT.
Memberships
I was elected to the Colorado Association for Certified Veterinary Technicians (CACVT) Board of Directors, where I advocate for veterinary professionals across the state.
Work History
In 2016, I moved to Colorado with my partner Aaron and an ever-expanding family of critters. I transitioned from social services to the veterinary field in 2018 and joined the esteemed North Powers Animal Hospital patient care team in 2020.
